Job Brief – Automation Engineer (DeltaV DCS).
Location: Ireland (Life Sciences Sector).
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Emerson DeltaV DCS systems to support projects in the Life Sciences industry.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining DeltaV systems in a GMP-regulated environment, with additional knowledge of SCADA/HMI applications and IT/OT networks.
Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain
DeltaV DCS systems
, including control modules, graphics, and batch configurations.
Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems to ensure reliable plant operations.
Develop and maintain
HMI/SCADA applications
for manufacturing processes.
Support
IT/OT network integration
, ensuring system reliability and cybersecurity compliance.
Lead or support commissioning, qualification, and validation of automation systems in regulated environments.
Collaborate with process, quality, and engineering teams to implement robust automation solutions.
Maintain system documentation in accordance with
GMP, GAMP5, and regulatory guidelines
.
Requirements
Degree in Automation, Control, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven expertise with
Emerson DeltaV DCS
(configuration, troubleshooting, batch management).
Experience in
Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical / Biopharma
manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of
SCADA, HMI systems
, and
IT/OT network integration
.
Strong understanding of
GMP, GAMP5
, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
