Permanent Full-Time 78/78 (78 hours fortnightly)

Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to develop schemes of work and learning programmes in line with national guidelines.
Plan, prepare and deliver programmes to a range of classes, ensuring suitability for the individual needs and abilities of people supported.
Encourage, monitor and record progress of individuals and devise and adapt resources to suit their needs.
Keep up to date with developments in subject areas, new resources and methods.
Prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of the people supported by the services.
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and competence in conflict resolution and the ability to understand and empower people with divergent points of view.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a relevant third level qualification to a minimum of Level 7 (Ordinary Degree). Applications will be considered from candidates holding other qualifications such as Nursing (RNID), Teaching, Youth and Community Studies, Psychology, and Social Work.
Positive attitude towards working with people with an intellectual disability.
