Our Dublin based client are looking for a
Lead Software Engineer
to join their team on a permanent basis
This role sits within the Product Development team and is at the Lead level with a base salary and overall package to reflect the level of Seniority

For this role they are looking for an individual who has experience in the areas of Cloud / AI as it's a major part of the role and journey this company are on
Responsibilities:
* Leadership in a hands-on and highly technical role
* Manage and mentor a team of 5–8
* Ownership on the end-to-end delivery and outcomes for your team and projects
* Building on high-quality, scalable AI & cloud solutions that will meet delivery commitments and business goals
* Act as a product owner and work closely with technical architects, Engineers, Analysts, and product managers to translate requirements into solutions.
* Drive and maintain engineering best practices across design, AI, security, and reliability.
* Contribute to the wider planning, execution and ensure a clear level of transparency and predictability.
* Proactively communicate on levels of risk, dependencies to help unblock delivery when challenges arise.
* Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
* Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives.
Requirements:
* 7+ years of software development or architecture experience, with at least 3-4 years in senior or management level roles
* Have significant experience architecting and building enterprise-wide cloud-native solutions.
* Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly:
* AWS Lambda
* API Gateway
* DynamoDB
* Programming skills in Python and/or Java.
* Hands on experience with Gen AI systems would be an advantage
* Excellent understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and SDLC methodologies.
Desirable
:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud ecosystems.
* Understanding of data governance, security architecture, and compliance in cloud environments.
