With a reputation for innovation, customer trust, and long-term stability, the business is now seeking a senior finance professional to step into a pivotal leadership role.About the PositionReporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will act as a key business partner within the senior leadership team, ensuring robust controls, compliance, and high-quality reporting while also influencing strategic decision-making.The role offers the scope to:Take ownership of all financial control and reporting functions.Safeguard the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information.Design and maintain a strong governance and control framework to support ongoing growth.Partner with senior executives, providing insight to shape commercial and operational decisions.Lead, inspire, and develop a finance team of around 10 professionals, creating a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.This is a senior leadership role suited to a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and regulated environment. It combines technical excellence with people leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the direction and performance of a growing business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of financial reporting, control, and compliance across the group.Ensure integrity of statutory and management accounts, regulatory returns, and tax compliance.Develop and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks.Oversee treasury, accounts payable, and payroll functions.Manage external audits and relationships with regulators.Act as a senior business partner to the CFO and executive team.Drive improvements in efficiency, reporting, and financial insight to support growth.Lead and develop a team of c.10 finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Experience/RequirementsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).7–10+ years post-qualification experience, with strong financial control background.Insurance, financial services, or other regulated sector experience preferred.Demonstrated success in leading finance teams in multi-entity environments.Strong technical accounting, reporting, and audit experience.Commercially astute, with the ability to provide actionable financial insight.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Location & Working ModelBased in Southwest Dublin, the role offers ahybrid model: four days in the office and one optional day working from home.Remuneration PackageHighly Competitive Remuneration Package and Benefits.ContactFor further information on this Financial Controller role, please contact Estelle Davis, Brightwater Executive on or click below to apply.
