Parker Stewart is currently working with a large internationally acclaimed corporate employer who right now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Data Engineer
to join their growing IT team.
What you will be doing;
* The support, development and rollout of data engineering solutions such as Data Integrations, ETL development and Data Warehousing Operations
* Hands on development of data engineering solutions using a variety of tools – Oracle (PL/SQL), Microsoft Data & Analytics technology stack (T-SQL, SSRs, SSIS, SSAS), Microsoft DevOps Tools (Azure DevOps, C#) and TARGIT
* Maintenance & upgrading of data and analytics applications to ensure they are maintained and patched to the required levels
* Version Control, Change and Release management of data and analytics solutions through DevOps life cycle
* Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and wider IT to deliver and support data and analytics solutions
* Participate in requirements, analysis and testing of data engineering solutions in collaboration with business users and/or wider data & analytics team members
Experience required:
* 2+ Years of data and analytics hands on technical development experience with proven track record
* Strong programming and application development skills using Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies
* ETL programming skills, including experience with large code bases, complex data structures, and a variety of data & analytics development tools
* Hands on data and analytics development skills using Microsoft Data & Analytics technology stack – T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
* Data Warehouse Dimension/Relational modelling and Cube development skills is advantage
* Programming knowledge using APIs for Data Integrations with C#, SOAP/REST, etc., is desirable
* Experience of data & analytics reporting/visualisation tools such as TARGIT, Power BI
* Agile Development & Project Methodologies experience
* Experience of DevOps/Data Ops is favourable
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
