Required Qualifications
Minimum Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Nursing or Social Work.
At least 3 years’ experience working with people with an intellectual disability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and supervise staff.
Understanding of and commitment to Personal Lifestyle Planning.
Proactive, able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Excellent interpersonal, IT, administrative, report‑writing and organisational skills.
Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.
Availability to work evenings and weekend shifts.
Prepared to be on call as required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience working with budgets and accounts.
Knowledge of spreadsheets and database systems.
Reasonable knowledge and appreciation of residential needs, social/recreational issues and training programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Relevant qualification at minimum Level 6 in People Management.
1 to 3 years of management experience (desirable but not essential).
