Responsibilities:
The Clinical Nurse Manager will play a central role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.
The CNM will lead the team in delivering person-centered care to our service users.
Preparing and administering drugs in line with company policy and 'An Bord Altranais' guidelines.
Ensuring service user's hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the service user's dignity at all times.
The CNM will act up for the Director of Nursing in their absence or in an emergency.
Planning and allocation of teams with appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience to meet the clinical demands and the continuity of care.
The organisation of fair and accurate off-duty rotas and coordinated holiday plans, other leave and parameters that apply to ensure that skill mix takes account of fluctuating workloads and maximises available resources.
Collaboration with the Director of Nursing in preparing, implementing and evaluating budget and service plans within an agreed budget.
Controlling the use of all supplies and the proper use of all equipment.
Identifying projected needs through constant floor inventories and estimating appropriate limits of resources.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be leading by example and demonstrating a strong team ethos, being positive and motivational at all times.
Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment.
Providing guidance and advice to all junior nursing and caring staff.
What you will have:
5 Years of post-registration experience
Proven track record in team management and performance management
A minimum of three years in care of vulnerable adults
Continuous professional development
Ability to manage and motivate a team
