Overview
Vacancy for an experienced and passionate SOUS CHEF. Preparing and cooking Indian food is essential. At least 5 years experience needed as a chef. Full understanding of HACCP principles and guidelines is a must; Certification in HACCP is preferred. The position will act as an assistant to the head chef and from time to time will require to work in every section of kitchen (tandoor oven, dessert section, curry preparation, sauce preparation and plating and garnishing too). The candidate must have good knowledge about Indian food as well as continental food too. Applying for a SOUS CHEF must require the following key assets: Great cooking skills, A cool head, An ability to delegate appropriately, Organisational flair, A grasp of profit margins, Speed, good communication skill, creativity.
Responsibilities
* Work across kitchen sections as required (tandoor oven, dessert, curry preparation, sauce preparation, plating and garnishing).
* Assist the head chef and support menu development and quality control.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years experience as a chef.
* Full understanding of HACCP principles; HACCP certification preferred.
* Good knowledge of Indian cuisine and continental cuisine.
* Ability to delegate; organizational flair; effective communication; creativity.
