I am seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join my client who is a leading medical company based in Limerick. I am look for a strong test automation engineer to help drive high-quality software delivery within an Agile team. You will contribute to testing strategy, automation, product quality, and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and plan effective testing.
* Develop a strong understanding of product architecture and design.
* Contribute automated test scripts within an existing automation framework.
* Create, execute, and review test cases and supporting documentation.
* Conduct complex system-level, functional, and end-to-end testing.
* Identify, document, and track defects to closure according to quality standards.
* Support engineering teams with troubleshooting, characterization, and validation activities.
* Drive continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and quality practices.
About You
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 6+ years of software testing experience, including 2+ years with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestComplete).
* Strong programming ability, ideally with C#.
* Experience testing web applications, APIs, and databases; able to write SQL queries.
* Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, ALM).
* Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration skills.
* Ability to drive improvements in testing processes and practices.
Nice to Have
* Knowledge of medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC or regulated industry experience.
* Understanding of FDA-related quality processes.
* ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
This will be an initial 12 month contract paying an attractive daily rate. You will be required to attend the office in Limerick 3 days per week.
