The Project
The role is within the technical design authority for the transmission system. Engineering and asset management facilitate this role through developing technical standards and functional specifications for all plants to connect to the transmission system, and developing new technologies and methodologies. The area also ensures that project design and construction incorporate these requirements, whether carried out by ESB Networks or third parties.

* Assist with stakeholder engagement and technical consultations.
* Coordinate with peers to meet priorities, manage issues, and provide technical guidance.
* Manage interactions with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
* Provide technical direction and act as a team representative when needed.
* Complete Stage Gate Reviews to ensure requirements are met.
* Disseminate lessons learned post-project energisation.
* Engage with partners, including meetings and reporting.
* Facilitate project reviews and audits as required.

Qualifications and Experience
* Expertise in transmission substation design, assessing designs for standards at 110/220/400 kV.
* Digitally savvy, capable of building lasting client relationships and leading motivated teams.
* Background in construction or project management, eager to grow your career.
* Experience with onsite inspection and construction monitoring for compliance.
* Experience preparing transmission design drawings, such as single line diagrams and protection schematics.
Additional Qualifications
* Membership or progress towards chartership of IEI, ICE, or similar.
* Experience delivering projects in the energy sector.
* Commercial and financial understanding.
* Experience working within large, diverse teams and stakeholder relationships.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability factors influence project outlooks.
