Our client, a privately owned Irish company based in Longford, is seeking to recruit a Process Engineer to support the Engineering/Production department in improving manufacturing processes and developing optimal moulding processes, tooling, and automation solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements for both new and existing tooling.
This role will provide the technical expertise required to ensure that current and future projects are executed in line with customer specifications and internal standards.
Requirements: Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes (including multi-component), tooling, design, automation, and ancillary equipment.
Proven application of SPC and DOE to optimise performance and quality.
Diploma in Plastics Engineering (degree preferred) with 4-5 years industry experience.
Working knowledge of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
Experience with manufacturing systems, real-time monitoring, and standard software (MFG Pro an advantage).
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, with clear communication and accurate documentation skills.
Experience in medical, packaging, or technology sectors (preferred).
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and willing to travel.
Essential Job Dutiesand Responsibilities: Lead new product introduction and define standard process specifications.
Optimise processes and solve manufacturing and customer-related issues using data-driven methods.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, customers, and suppliers to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Ensure ISO compliance through robust documentation and regular system reviews.
Train and support employees on processes and systems.
Undertake additional duties as required.
