Social Care Manager Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Care Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to young people.
Job Description:
The Social Care Manager will be responsible for the overall management of our centre, ensuring a safe, caring, and stable environment for the young people in our care. Key responsibilities include:
* Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment
* Ensuring that care and placement plans are in place and regularly reviewed
* Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each young person
* Participating in on-going planning and strategic development for Children's Residential Centres
* Ensuring the effective use of resources within the centre
You will also be responsible for consulting with young people, their families, centre staff, and external stakeholders as appropriate. This includes engaging in age-appropriate activities, managing the budget, and supervising staff.
In addition, you will participate in relevant professional development and training programmes, ensuring your knowledge and skills are up-to-date and aligned with best practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Social Care Grade in a Children's Residential Centre
* Registration in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
* Or hold a CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and be eligible for registration (evidence of application will be necessary)
* The requisite knowledge and ability to discharge the duties of office effectively
