As a top in-house legal expert, you will be responsible for assisting with setting global legal strategies and functional plans for the company.Responsibilities:Drafts and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements including software licenses, cloud and hosted services, and professional services engagements.Leads negotiation for the sale of software and SaaS products and services.Deals with ad-hoc commercial and legal issues that arise.Collaborates with sales, operations, finance, legal, tax, and services to ensure that agreements are aligned.Assists with other legal-related projects including development, review, and maintenance of policies.Identifies, analyzes, and develops strategies for mitigating legal risks.Advises key business stakeholders with respect to legal issues.Requirements:Formal legal qualification (UK and/or Ireland qualified lawyer).3-5 years relevant experience in a corporate legal environment.Experienced commercial contracts counsel with expertise in commercial contract negotiations.Strong drafting knowledge of commercial contract terms.Requires detailed knowledge of commercial contract terms.Should be an initiative-taker who is able to work independently in a challenging environment.Ability to interact effectively with senior management and has a successful history as both an advisor and business leader.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex legal issues into easily understood concepts.Outstanding organizational abilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.Commitment to excellence and integrity.Education and Experience:3-5 years’ experience as in-house or large law firm counsel, with a preference for both in-house and law firm experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong ability to perform research, synthesize, and articulate findings.Experience in a technology service organization is preferred.J.D. from an accredited university with a preference for a top-tiered university.Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity simultaneously and translate complex business and legal issues into clear and simple guidance for a variety of clients and stakeholders.High comfort level with a wide range of legal issues and subject matters.Skilled, effective, and empathetic manager who can motivate team members to achieve at a consistently elevated level.Able to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a challenging environment.Excellent analytic and communication skills, with the ability to act on the best information available, not wait for absolute certainty, and effectively navigate ambiguity.Able to effectively deal with high-volume, rapid cycles, multiple assignments, concurrent deadlines, and changing priorities.A deep interest in technology and a keen interest in Archer’s mission to help the world agree better.Actively contribute to the Legal Department’s mission of being a sophisticated user and champion of Archer’s products and services.Archer is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
