IT Specialist for Sustainable Building Solutions
This opportunity is seeking a highly skilled IT specialist to join the team and contribute to the development of sustainable building solutions. The successful candidate will have expertise in software development, databases, and business systems.
You will be responsible for developing and enhancing IT systems, integrating energy performance calculation methodologies into software platforms, and leading the development and management of databases related to energy performance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Software and Systems Development Team to support the ongoing evolution of the Ber Programme's IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT-related projects effectively, including managing scope, timeline, and quality. They should also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and Enhance IT Systems to support sustainable building solutions.
* Integrate Energy Performance Calculation Methodologies into software platforms (e.g., DEAP, NEAP).
* Manage Databases Related to Energy Performance, incorporating Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and Zero Emission Buildings (ZEB) standards.
* Collaborate with the Software and Systems Development Team to support the ongoing evolution of the Ber Programme's IT systems.
* Resolve IT Issues related to business systems.
* Develop Strong Working Relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and industry stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Degree (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in a relevant technical field (e.g., IT, Architecture, Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Science, Sustainability).
* A minimum of four years' directly relevant experience in IT systems development, software engineering, building performance assessment or modelling, sustainability, energy consultancy, or project management in a related field.
* Experience with energy performance methodologies, including DEAP and NEAP.
* Experience in software development, quality control, stakeholder management, and user acceptance testing.
