Job Description
Operations is the core of Amazon, ensuring the efficient dispatch and delivery of orders to meet customer expectations. As a Delivery Station Manager, you will lead teams, foster safety, quality, and productivity, and develop operational plans to meet targets. Your goal is to drive operational excellence and innovate for the future of Amazon.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
2. Own your site, address issues, and enhance site performance
3. Analyze performance metrics and implement improvement actions
4. Collaborate with support teams such as HR, Finance, DSPs, IT, ACES, and Engineering
5. Design and implement initiatives to improve operational performance
A Day in the Life
You will oversee the entire Delivery Station, manage teams, monitor performance, and seek continuous improvement. Your role involves close operational management and contributing to site innovation. Daily tasks include stakeholder collaboration, performance analysis, demand planning, and coaching your team to excel.
Basic Qualifications
* A degree
* Successful experience in people and stakeholder management
* Fluent in verbal and written English and proficiency in the local language
* Experience using data or anecdotal evidence for decision-making
* Experience in production and supply chain areas
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
* Experience in logistics environments
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
