Key Responsibilities
* Patient Care: Assist veterinarians in examinations, procedures, and surgeries. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
* Client Interaction: Communicate with pet owners about treatment plans, care instructions, and follow-up appointments.
* Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate medical records, and process client billing.
* Facility Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms, surgical areas, and the waiting room.
* Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking and ordering supplies as needed.
* Team Support: Collaborate with veterinarians and other staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient practice operations.
Qualifications
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent; veterinary assistant certification is a plus.
* Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Compassionate and attentive to the needs of animals and clients. Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as needed.
