Our client is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join their Central Security Services team.
The role focuses on securing network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring compliance, resilience, and protection against evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC, and WAF solutions.
Design, implement, and support secure network architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
Monitor, analyse, and respond to network security incidents.
Onboard and integrate network devices into SIEM platforms.
Perform audits, tuning, patching, and upgrades of network security systems.
Support incident response and act as an escalation point for network security issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure connectivity and integration.
Produce clear documentation, playbooks, and technical guidance.
Skills & Experience 5+ years in network security engineering (10+ years in IT preferred).
Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.), IDS/IPS, VPN, WAF, and NAC solutions.
Knowledge of cloud networking security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and TLS/SSL.
Scripting/automation experience (Python, Power Shell, Bash, etc.).
Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, MITRE ATT&CK.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP, Security+) are desirable.
