Microsoft Dynamics Consultant Contract Length: 612 months Location: Dublin (Hybrid) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Consultant to provide technical leadership and programme-level oversight for a critical Dynamics delivery.Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.This contract role will act as the senior authority across technology, delivery, governance, and vendor management, ensuring the programme is delivered with integrity, control, and clear accountability.The role requires a blend of hands-on Dynamics expertise, programme leadership, and stakeholder confidence, operating as a senior escalation point and ensuring a controlled transition to Business as Usual (BAU).Experience & Skills Required: Proven experience leading Microsoft Dynamics programmes in complex enterprise environments.Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft platforms.Demonstrated success in programme governance, risk management, and delivery assurance.Experience managing and holding system integrators and vendors to account.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level.Experience delivering controlled transitions from programme to BAU operations.Key Responsibilities Technical & Programme Leadership Provide senior technical leadership across the Microsoft Dynamics landscape (e.g.D365 CE, F&O, Power Platform, integrations).Own end-to-end programme delivery, including scope, timelines, governance, and budget.Act as the senior escalation point for programme risks, issues, and dependencies.Ensure technical decisions are evidence-based, well-documented, and aligned with business outcomes.Delivery Oversight Oversee delivery across all workstreams, ensuring alignment between technical, functional, and business teams.Establish and maintain a credible, phased delivery plan with clear stage gates and dependencies.Ensure delivery quality, risk management, and controls are consistently applied.Governance & Reporting Lead programme governance, ensuring timely and transparent decision-making.Produce accurate, unfiltered programme reporting covering status, risk, quality, and budget.Ensure governance forums operate effectively, with clear ownership and outcomes.Vendor Management Manage vendor relationships and performance, setting clear expectations and holding partners accountable.Address underperformance decisively, with clear consequences and corrective actions.Ensure contractual obligations, delivery commitments, and quality standards are met.Transition to BAU Lead a controlled, auditable transition to BAU with unambiguous ownership.Ensure operational readiness, documentation, and knowledge transfer are completed to a high standard.Desired Outputs / Contributions A single, credible end-to-end delivery plan with defined phases, stage gates, and dependencies.Clear, timely governance decisions supported by evidence and transparent rationale.Accurate, honest programme reporting with no dilution of risk or issues.Strong vendor performance management with clear accountability and outcomes.A controlled, auditable transition to BAU with clear ownership and responsibility.A programme environment where escalation is safe, encouraged, and acted upon.Contribution to Project Success Provides stability, technical direction, and integrity to programme delivery.Ensures authority, accountability, and governance are fully aligned.
