Offaly, R35 YP86, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Building Materials Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, Permanent Van Driver/Yard Operative to join our Team.
Job Purpose: Provide deliveries to our customers.
Maintain the yard to a high standard and operate yard machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities: Check order and dockets prior to departure.
Ensure deliveries are delivered on time.
Ensure all PODs are signed and returned to the office on time.
Complete daily vehicle and load checks and report any incidents on the day.
Ensure loads are secured pre-departure.
Adherence to compliance with Health and Safety and Road Safety.
Multi drops and Branch to Branch runs.
Driving long and/or short distances.
Planning delivery schedules and routes with the Branch Manager.
Handling freight in a safe, efficient manner.
Helping load and unload goods.
Documenting the required important readings and lorry quantities including commodities in the driver's logbook.
Build excellent customer relationships.
Requirements: Full Clean Driving License.
Display excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time keeping.
Be highly motivated and can work to set deadlines.
Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
Problem-solving skills.
Good road knowledge of surrounding areas.
Forklift License an advantage.
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Saturday) HPC Sales Ltd. is an equal opportunities employer.
