Global Automation Engineer
Responsible for the design, development, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automated systems in line with global engineering standards, supporting automation projects across international manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, commission, and upgrade automated systems globally.
* Provide automation and controls support to panel plants and production lines worldwide.
* Commission new and upgraded equipment on production lines.
* Support continuous improvement and value-added initiatives.
* Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to meet plant objectives.
* Contribute to the delivery of the global annual automation project roadmap.
* Mentor junior Automation Engineers and support their development.
* Assist in the development and implementation of global electrical and controls standards.
* Maintain safe working practices at all times.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation and SOPs.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, CE marking, and ISO 37301 requirements.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
* Strong PLC expertise, ideally Siemens S7-300/400 and TIA Portal.
* Working knowledge of motion control systems (Siemens Simotion/Sinamics or equivalent).
* Experience with SCADA and line reporting systems, preferably Siemens WinCC.
* Experience with industrial networks (Industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet).
* Experience designing and installing electrical control systems
