Overview
Gourmet Food Parlour are looking to hire drivers for our ever-growing catering division in Santry. As a Multi-Drop Driver in the catering industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food products and supplies to our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our catering facility to multiple delivery points, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
* Safe Transportation: Operate a delivery vehicle responsibly and adhere to all traffic rules and safety regulations. Safely load and unload goods to prevent any damage during transit.
* Multi-Drop Deliveries: Follow a predetermined delivery schedule or route to make multiple deliveries within the given timeframe. Ensure accurate and on-time deliveries to each destination.
* Order Verification: Cross-check delivery notes and invoices with the actual products being delivered. Report any discrepancies or issues promptly to the logistics team.
* Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally during deliveries. Provide excellent customer service, address any inquiries or concerns, and represent our catering company in a positive manner.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the delivery vehicle, perform routine checks, and report any mechanical issues or damages. Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times.
* Adherence to Food Safety Standards: Comply with food safety and hygiene protocols when handling catering products during loading, unloading, and transportation.
* Route Optimization: Utilize navigation tools efficiently to plan the most time-efficient and cost-effective delivery routes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Valid EU driver's license appropriate for the delivery vehicle.
* Proven experience in multi-drop delivery or a similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns to optimize delivery routes.
* Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Physical ability to lift and move moderately heavy items during loading and unloading.
* Attention to detail to ensure accurate order deliveries and paperwork.
* Punctuality and reliability in adhering to the delivery schedule.
* Knowledge of food safety and handling guidelines is a plus.
* Must be 23 years of age or over for insurance purposes.
