The role
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong client and candidate relationships while delivering against sales and service targets. This is a fast-paced, people-focused role suited to someone commercially driven and confident working in a target-led environment.
Key responsibilities
Business development & sales
9. Generate new business and grow existing client accounts
10. Meet agreed sales and gross profit targets
11. Conduct client meetings, site visits and follow-ups
12. Support proposals and tenders and negotiate fees and rates in line with company policy
Client management
13. Manage vacancies end-to-end and deliver high-quality service
14. Build a strong understanding of client operations, workforce needs and future plans
15. Provide market insight on salary levels, candidate availability and industry trends
16. Maintain accurate client information on the CRM system
Candidate management
17. Source, screen and register candidates against weekly KPIs
18. Prepare candidates for interviews and provide feedback
19. Negotiate offers, notice periods and terms of employment
20. Maintain strong candidate relationships and talent pools
Quality & compliance
21. Ensure all activity aligns with internal processes and quality standards
22. Complete candidate compliance checks and documentation
23. Maintain accurate records in line with legislative requirements
24. Support continuous improvement and professional development
What we're looking for
Essential
25. 1+ year recruitment consultancy experience or 2+ years' direct sales experience in a target-driven environment
26. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
27. Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset
28. Full driving licence or access to transport
Desirable
29. Additional recruitment experience
30. Experience using recruitment databases or CRM systems
31. Professional accreditation (REC / NRF / ERF)
