Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analyzing purchase orders to determine quantities, delivery dates, and inventory levels, and placing orders accordingly.
* Negotiating best prices and lead times with suppliers.
* Collaborating with production teams to ensure timely material deliveries.
* Booking deliveries onto the purchasing system.
* Issuing materials to production.
* Maintaining accurate purchasing databases, investigating inventory discrepancies, and resolving invoice/delivery/receiving issues.
* Monitoring supplier performance and establishing key performance metrics (KPIs).
* Working with R&D to select suppliers and materials.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to address material or quality issues.
* Conducting supplier risk assessments to ensure continuous supply of materials.
* Identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
* FOLLOWING established policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
* Minimum three years' experience in a professional buying role, including experience in material management.
* Experience working in a GMP/Medical Device environment.
* Experience purchasing and managing various material commodities.
* Experience in purchasing, supplier relations, material planning, and inventory management.
* A strong understanding of MRP systems.
* Familiarity with product specifications.
* Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
