Responsibilities:
* Provide direct front line leadership and support to assigned production cells / areas.
* Supervise, support and mentor a team of approx. 15 production operators.
* Maintain a positive team atmosphere in the production area.
* Ensure adherence to company behaviors (BUILDS).
* Resolve people management issues per company policies; conduct performance reviews.
* Ensure products are built according to schedule.
* Achieve KPI targets for safety, output, quality, and productivity.
* Maintain hourly output tracking; record output, defects, downtime; escalate issues.
* Address quality issues promptly; assist Quality team.
* Complete all product paperwork accurately and timely.
* Prepare paperwork and equipment for line transitions.
* Ensure work instructions and quality standards are clear and followed; update documentation as needed.
* Perform work audits and address issues.
* Staff and operate production areas per plans.
* Train team members; implement cross-training.
* Maintain GMP, Safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards; address issues promptly.
* Follow lean manufacturing policies (Kanban, 5S, Hr x Hr Tracking); ensure team understanding and compliance.
* Contribute to LPMS; complete improvement tasks efficiently.
* Collaborate with support functions to resolve operational challenges.
* Encourage continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
* Participate in hiring processes.
* Follow safety and health regulations; ensure a safe work environment.
* Be aware of environmental impacts; ensure compliance.
* Contribute to energy conservation efforts.
* Support OH&S, Environmental, and Energy management systems; report incidents and suggest improvements.
* Lead and promote a safety-conscious culture.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of experience as a line lead or similar role.
* Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
* Ability to learn production processes.
* Understanding of work content assessment and line balancing.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Self-directed with minimal supervision.
* Positive attitude focused on customer requirements.
