Conveniently located just a short stroll from Maynooth town centre and only a 25 minute drive from Dublin City Centre, the Glenroyal Hotel is easily accessible via national rail and bus services.Role Overview:As a Swim Instructor at the Glenroyal Leisure Club, you will play a key role in delivering high quality swim instruction to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.Main ResponsibilitiesTo maintain a high standard of delivery of the swim lesson programmes in a fun and enjoyable wayDemonstrate proper techniques and methodsObserve participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary to improve their skills and monitor their progressExplain and enforce safety rules and regulations within the Leisure CentrePlan routines, select appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitationsEvaluate individual's abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirementsSkills & Experience Requirements:A minimum of 1 year working as a Swim Instructor in a Leisure Centre or a Gym is essentialFully qualified and certified Swim teacher - Level 12 (Cert. in date)Valid Lifeguard certificationCertified in Occupational First Aid (Cert in date)Excellent timekeeping and communication skillsAbility to work on own initiativeMust be eligible to work in IrelandMust be fluent in written and spoken EnglishMust be available to work at least 3 shifts per week, including weekdaysWe offer great team benefits including:1 paid volunteering day per yearFree onsite parkingComplimentary gym membershipFree tea/coffee from Shoda Cafe on shiftPaid birthday leave each yearAdditional annual leave days based off length of serviceDaily meals and snacks in canteenInternal/external training providedStaff discount across hotel amenitiesStaff canteen, changing room & shower facilitiesIf this sounds like you please contact us today
