Job description:This role will support the Leisure Club Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the leisure club, delivering exceptional member and guest experiences, and assisting in achieving revenue and membership targets.Key Deliverables and ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Centre and undertaking associated management and administrative responsibilities as necessary.To be responsible for the development, control and general supervision of staff in the center, ensuring that staff are punctual and well always presented in full uniform.Ensure that all daily duties are carried out efficiently.The Assistant Manager will assume full operational responsibility in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day running of the center, effective staff supervision, and continued delivery of high standards in safety, customer service, and facility management.To take responsibility for the daily operational running of the center and provide effective leadership to operational staff to enable them to perform to a high standard.To provide excellent management of the facilities, always ensuring the safe environment of the building, attaining industry standards.Reporting to the General Manager to all other operational staff.Support monitoring of memberships, usage, and renewals; help attract and retain members.Assist with gym membership sales and marketing campaigns.Supporting the Centre Manager in supervising staff (lifeguards, reception duties, fitness instructors, cleaners).Assist in maintaining gym equipment and reporting maintenance issues promptly.Support daily and weekly cleaning schedules and water quality checks.Support daily plantroom responsibilities.Comply with company regulations regarding fire, hygiene, guest care, and security.Participate in staff training, onboarding, and development activities.Support induction of new team members.Engage with members and guests to address queries and feedback.Report accidents and incidents to the Leisure Club Manager immediately.Support the Leisure Club manager to ensure trainer quality remains high.Professional Requirements and Experience:Pool plant qualifications required.Lifeguard/swim instructor required.1-2 years' experience in a managerial roleMinimum of 3 years' experience working within the Health & Fitness industryJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFood allowanceGym membershipOn-site parkingWellness program
