We are currently recruiting for a Training Team Leader to lead our organisation-wide training and development initiatives. This role involves overseeing the full training function within ALONE, supporting the growth and capability of staff and volunteers through the design, coordination, and delivery of impactful learning experiences.
The Training Team Leader will play a central role in aligning learning activities with strategic goals, ensuring high standards across all programs, and embedding a culture of continuous learning.
Responsibilities
* Lead the training function within ALONE, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and providing strong operational oversight.
* Ensure the Learning & Development (L&D) framework and procedures are implemented effectively and reviewed regularly.
* Support the training team during periods of absence or transition, ensuring continuity of service.
* Design/resource and deliver engaging training programmes in line with the annual training plan, covering areas such as induction, compliance, role-specific skills, and professional development.
* Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions to meet diverse learning needs.
* Manage training budgets and ensure all training is delivered within budget.
* Source, liaise with, and coordinate external training providers and partnerships as needed.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and learning management systems.
* Gather, evaluate, and act upon training feedback to continuously enhance content, delivery methods, and outcomes.
* Provide regular reports and insights on training activity, outcomes, and impact to support strategic planning.
* Ensure all training meets internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and reflects ALONE's values and culture.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and learner-focused environment across the organisation.
* Support the ongoing learning and professional development of ALONE's staff and volunteers.
* Carry out any other duties relevant to the nature of the post, as required.
Essential skills & experience
* The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in training, learning and development, or education delivery.
* Proven experience designing and delivering effective training programmes.
* Experience managing or coordinating L&D activities within an organisation.
* Train the Trainer qualification or willingness to complete it.
* Experience working in the nonprofit, healthcare, education, or community sector is an advantage.
* Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and project management abilities.
* Collaborative, approachable, and confident in leading learning initiatives.
* Proactive and adaptable, with a solution-focused mindset.
* Passionate about empowering others and fostering a culture of growth and development.
