• Location: Clonmel, Ireland - Hybrid working option is a possibility.


• Contract duration: Q2 2025 – Q4 2027 (approx.)


• Temporary Employment Contract with hourly rate.


• Our client: A global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines, and animal health products.


ABOUT THE ROLE:

The candidate will report directly to the Digital MMD Project Manager, with primary responsibility for delivering DeltaV Automation Systems. They will collaborate with the Digital MMD teams overseeing Automation and IT scope, as well as with vendors and partners responsible for system delivery.

In this role, you'll make an impact by:

1. Working with Automation resources, vendors, and partners to deliver automation systems on time and within budget as the DeltaV Lead Automation Engineer.
2. Developing and reviewing SDLC deliverables, ensuring compliance with company standards, including Requirements Specifications, Traceability Matrix, Functional and Design Specifications, Code Reviews, and Test Scripts.
3. Collaborating with Automation equipment vendors to ensure deliverables meet project requirements, including integration with site systems like OEM automation, MES, and PI Historian.
4. Ensuring requirements of DDQ and CSV functions are incorporated into all deliverables.
5. Participating in Hardware and Software FATs and SATs to verify standards are met.
6. Following project schedules and documentation to manage deliverables effectively.
7. Supporting automation meetings and relevant program discussions.
8. Communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity across the project.
9. Maintaining automation compliance with global policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and cGMP standards.


ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:

Skills required:

* Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong experience with Emerson DeltaV systems, including core and batch layers.
* Knowledge of Siemens PLC/SCADA, OSISoft PI, Werum Pas-X, ABB DCS, or other DCS systems is advantageous.
* Ability to work on-site with a hybrid working option; periodic attendance at vendor premises may be required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
* Experience with API or OSD manufacturing and high containment manufacturing is advantageous.
* Experience working with the company or similar organizations is advantageous.
