Retail Product Acquisition Manager – 1 year maternity contract
Our client an innovative and exciting retail charity chain is seeking to recruit a Product Acquisition Manager to join their not-for-profit vintage and retro retail collective. In this role, you'll command the sourcing and acquisition strategy across both fashion and home décor, curating captivating character-rich products.
As the Retail Product Acquisition Manager, you will spearhead the sourcing and acquisition of standout products in both fashion and home categories, identifying fresh supply sources, forging strategic partnership, and fuelling the momentum and expansion of the retail chain.
Reporting into the Head of growth and business development, this is an exciting and rewarding job opportunity based in Naas with WFH options.
Responsibilities as Retail Product Acquisition Manager
1. Develop and maintain a dynamic pipeline of high-potential opportunities by proactively identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads across diverse channels.
2. Supporting the development and delivery of acquisition and product strategies
3. Utilise industry insights and trend analysis to identify and secure high-potential product acquisition leads, curating a distinctive selection of vintage fashion and home items that resonate with current consumer preferences
4. Working closely with charity partners in stock allocation, collection, and deliveries
5. Develop and execute high-impact, multi-channel campaigns to drive engagement and sourcing from online platforms
6. Continuously build strong relationships with retail chains, wholesale businesses, and online platforms to secure end-of-line products, ensuring a dynamic and sustainable product offering.
Skills and Requirements for this job include
7. Proven experience working within a high-performing team, consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs and business targets.
8. 3+ years of experience in wholesale, business development, or a related commercial management role within the fashion or retail sector.
9. Experience in product selection or buying is a strong advantage.
10. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong networks and professional relationships across multiple stakeholders.
11. Commercially minded with excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
12. Highly self-motivated, energetic, and proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
13. Creative thinker with a keen eye for product trends and market potential.
