Quantity Surveyor – Permanent | Ireland | On-site
What You Need to Know:
We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor—ideally with a background in electrical contracting—to join our engineering client’s dynamic technical team. The role is required to ensure commercial and contractual control and co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of a specified project or range of projects, and to provide guidance to other members of the Commercial/quantity surveying team and Project Directors/Managers on all aspects relating to commercial activity.
Key Responsibilities (max 5):
Work closely with the project team to develop monthly progress applications
Ensure all contract variations are captured from engineering deviations and site requests
Prepare in-house monthly commercial reports and take responsibility for all commercial aspects of the project
Monitor spent vs earned value on a weekly basis
Prepare cash flows and update as necessary, analysing timing of sales and costs
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying and/or electrical trade background (advantage)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying functions
Technical and practical knowledge of contract development, administration, and close-out on construction projects
Strong communication, reporting, and negotiation skills with strong English capability
Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
