As aContracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will ensure that projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
* Manage project teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors.
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across all sites.
* Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
* Review and approve project budgets, cost reports, and procurement strategies.
* Ensure quality control and compliance with technical specifications and building regulations.
* Support tendering and pre-construction activities, including input into bid strategies and contract negotiations.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to project teams.
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 8 years in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role.
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, health & safety legislation, and construction contracts (e.g., Public Works, RIAI, FIDIC).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Commercially astute with strong budgeting and cost control capabilities.
* Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.
