We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Assistant to join our team.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have experience in producing legal documentation, managing case files, and providing administrative support to solicitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and file court papers, contracts, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
* Acompany solicitors to police cells or the courtroom as required.
* Answer telephone calls and respond to correspondence in a professional manner.
* Manage petty cash expenses and maintain detailed records of costs.
* Make appointments for solicitors and schedule court depositions, hearings, and meetings.
* Transcribe and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements
1. At least 1 year's experience working as a paralegal or in a similar administrative role.
2. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
3. Working knowledge of litigation management software systems.
4. Ability to type at 50 words per minute with high accuracy.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
6. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
