Job description:Production Specialist – Seasonal FTCBelview, Co. Our purpose is to nourish the world, while safeguarding our environment for future generations.Role ProfileAs a member of the Tirlán Belview team, the Production Specialist will play a key role in delivering on all operational requirements relating to the manufacture of premium Dairy Ingredients powders in a high care, highly automated production environment. Working with their Team Leader and other team members, they will perform a range of duties across the powder production process including process management, implementation of quality standards and systems, measurement and reporting. This will be achieved within a flexible annualised hours work system.ResponsibilitiesManage own safety and ensure a safe work environment for colleagues including completion of SPAs and risk assessments and escalation of risks to the Team LeaderEnsure production requirements are met relating to timely delivery of raw materials for each stage in the production process and the packaging and dispatch of finished goodsReview and deliver on daily production schedules, monitor progress, troubleshoot and problem-solve in line with Plant Policies and ProceduresFollow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), policies and procedures at all timesTake a pro-active role in identifying and implementing continuous improvements by identifying opportunities for improving performance, minimising risk (both personal and food related) and maximising quality standardsEnsure fully functional operation of equipment, escalating as necessary and conduct first line maintenanceComplete verification process and documentation on finished product in line with customers' specifications.Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing dataRecognise the importance of budget targets, constantly strive to reduce costs and improve efficiencies through a detailed knowledge of the processAct as role model in the implementation of site safety, cleanliness and hygiene standardsImplement process quality sampling and in-process testingParticipate in up-skilling and cross-skilling on various stages in the Production processAs a competent member of the team train other team members on areas of competenceRequirementsGraduate (diploma or degree) in an Engineering, Science or similar discipline with 6 months+ in a relevant environment orIndividual who has a minimum of two years' experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferably food/drink) working to GMP standards in a highly automated environmentPositive outlook - focus on outcomes and solutionsTeamwork - thrives in a team environmentAbility to problem solve and conduct root cause analysisInterpersonal effectivenessCan demonstrate high levels of proficiency in the use of IT/automation tools and softwareMulti-tasking and flexibilityAutonomy and decision making- ability to work on own and make decisionsWe offerWork/life balance and collaborative work cultureCareer progression opportunitiesAbout usThrough our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety and state-of-the-art manufacturing we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market.
