Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer - Enablement
Reporting to: Director, Cloud Platforms
Department: Technical Operations (TechOps)
Location: Dublin
Date: Jan 2026

About Us

At GTreasury, you will join the makers, breakers, doers, and disruptors passionate about solving problems and meeting customer needs. As an established FinTech leader in the SaaS treasury management space, we are driven by the vision of creating the next generation of technology tools for the global corporate financial office.

We seek a Site Reliability Engineer - Enablement to join our enabling team and empower stream-aligned engineering teams across three critical domains: observability, releasability, and security. You will be a coach, mentor, and technical consultant who embeds alongside product teams to build their capabilities in monitoring, CI/CD, and security practices, helping them achieve operational excellence through automation, best practices, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

* Embed with stream-aligned teams in time-boxed engagements (6-12 weeks) to build capabilities across observability, CI/CD, and security domains.
* Observability Enablement: Coach teams on instrumenting code with logs, metrics, and traces; creating meaningful dashboards and alerts; defining SLOs/SLIs and error budgets; and troubleshooting production issues effectively.
* Releasability Enablement: Guide teams in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy; adopting trunk-based development and progressive delivery strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags).
* DevSecOps Enablement: Teach teams to integrate security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) in pipelines, perform threat modeling, implement secrets management, and remediate vulnerabilities using secure coding practices.
* Help teams implement automation that enables frequent, safe releases with comprehensive monitoring and security built-in by default.
* Identify and remove operational bottlenecks across deployment, monitoring, and security practices, helping teams reduce lead time, MTTR, and vulnerability remediation time.
* Develop reusable templates, documentation, and golden path examples for pipelines, dashboards, and security controls that teams can adopt independently.
* Measure and track team progress on key metrics (DORA metrics, observability maturity, security posture) and demonstrate measurable improvement.
* Collaborate with the Subsystems Platform Team to translate common team needs into self-service platform capabilities.
* Facilitate knowledge sharing through workshops, pairing sessions, and documentation that builds lasting team competence across all three domains.

Essential Knowledge / Experience:

* At least three years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles with exposure to multiple disciplines.
* Observability Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with application observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, or similar), implementing structured logging, metrics collection, distributed tracing, and creating effective dashboards and alerts.
* CI/CD Expertise: Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; deep understanding of deployment automation and progressive delivery techniques.
* Security Expertise: Solid understanding of application security practices, including security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA), secure coding principles (OWASP Top 10), and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
* Proven experience with Octopus Deploy for deployment automation and release orchestration (required).
* Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools (required).
* Proven ability to coach and mentor engineering teams, with excellent communication and teaching skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience implementing observability in code (OpenTelemetry, Serilog, or similar frameworks) and teaching developers instrumentation best practices.
* Strong knowledge of trunk-based development, branching strategies, version control best practices, and automated testing strategies.
* Understanding of SLO/SLI definition, error budgets, and reliability engineering principles.
* Familiarity with threat modeling, secrets management solutions (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault), and vulnerability remediation workflows.
* Consultative mindset with the ability to influence and guide teams without direct authority across multiple technical domains.
* Passion for continuous improvement, teaching, and helping others succeed.

Desired Skills / Experience:

* Experience measuring and improving DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) across engineering teams.
* Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) and container security best practices.
* Experience with GitOps practices and declarative deployment models.
* Industry certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), AWS/Azure certifications, or security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+).
* Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and instrumentation.
* Background in both development and operations, with understanding of full software delivery lifecycle.
* Familiarity with FinTech compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
* Experience building communities of practice and facilitating peer learning.
* Prior experience in enabling/coaching roles or technical training/education.

What Success Looks Like:

* Number of teams enabled per quarter: Successfully completing 2-3 multi-discipline team engagements per quarter (covering observability, releasability, and/or security based on team needs).
* Observability improvements: Enabled teams show reduced MTTR, have defined SLOs, and can independently troubleshoot production issues.
* Releasability improvements: Enabled teams show increased deployment frequency, reduced lead time for changes, and high pipeline automation adoption.
* Security improvements: Enabled teams have security scanning integrated in pipelines, reduced vulnerability counts, and faster remediation times.
* Team self-sufficiency: Post-engagement surveys demonstrate teams can independently manage observability, CI/CD, and security practices (score >4/5).
* Knowledge transfer: Teams continue to improve across all three domains after the engagement concludes.
* Cross-domain integration: Teams understand how observability, deployment practices, and security work together as an integrated system.

Additional Information

* This is an Enabling Team role focused on building capabilities in others across multiple disciplines, not doing the work for teams.
* Engagements are time-boxed (typically 6-12 weeks) with focus areas tailored to each team's maturity and needs before rotating to help the next team.
* You will work across multiple product teams and technical domains, requiring adaptability, broad technical knowledge, and strong relationship-building skills.
* While you'll coach across observability, releasability, and security, you may focus more deeply on one domain per engagement based on team needs and your expertise.
* Opportunities for professional growth in coaching, SRE practices, DevOps, security, and emerging technologies across all three domains.
* Work in a global, collaborative environment that values teaching, learning, and continuous improvement.
* Flexible working arrangements with a remote-first culture that supports work-life balance.
* Collaborate closely with Platform Team and other enablement team members to share knowledge and improve enablement effectiveness.

Why This Role is Unique

This role combines three critical enabling functions into one position, allowing you to:

* Build holistic team capabilities rather than siloed expertise
* See the connections between observability, deployment practices, and security
* Tailor engagements to each team's specific maturity and pain points
* Make broader impact by addressing multiple aspects of operational excellence
* Develop T-shaped skills with depth in your strength area and breadth across all three domains

You'll help teams understand that observability enables confident deployments, that secure pipelines enable faster releases, and that monitoring enables rapid security response — creating teams that are truly self-sufficient in operating their services end-to-end.
