Overview
As part of EY's Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Scientist & AI role is pivotal in enabling clients to derive value from information assets.
The team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas and transforms data into strategic assets.
We are looking for a Data Scientist who is passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.
The role involves developing new and existing client relationships and delivering first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements.
The Team and the Opportunity
Working across all industries, you'll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally.
As a Manager, you'll assess and improve clients' reporting policies and governance processes during transformational and regulatory changes.
Your key responsibilities
Big Data Analysis:
The capability to analyse large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to inform business strategies.
Statistical Modeling:
Apply statistical techniques to extract insights, build predictive models, interpret data, and support data-driven decision making.
Machine Learning and AI Model End to End Management:
Build and manage the full lifecycle of ML models including development, validation, deployment, and monitoring in production environments.
Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy advanced ML models, ensuring alignment with business objectives and seamless integration into client operations.
Communication:
Communicate complex analytical findings and model results to stakeholders in business terms to inform decision-making.
Continuous Learning:
Stay informed of latest data science advancements to keep the team at the cutting edge.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning or deep learning models in real-world applications.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Programming:
Solid experience in Python and SQL; experience with R is a nice-to-have.
ML and AI:
Practical experience using ML modeling libraries like Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch and similar.
Generative AI:
Some hands-on experience with LLMs for prompt engineering or agents is preferred.
Cloud Expertise:
Building, deploying and monitoring models on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP is preferred.
Foundational Knowledge:
A strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, AI principles and programming.
Ideally, you will also have
Problem-Solving:
Ability to translate business assumptions and rules into feature engineering and model explainability, addressing business problems with data-driven solutions.
Collaborative Development:
Work under the guidance of senior data scientists and solution architects to build models that align with strategic visions and client needs.
Data Pipeline Management:
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines critical for model training and deployment; ensure the reliability and efficiency of data infrastructure.
