Job Description
We are seeking a media relations specialist to facilitate all aspects of communication with the US private sporting club market via written, digital, television and radio outlets. This person will be responsible for writing press releases and handling press enquiries for the company as well as our expansive client base. The role will also focus on managing and gaining publicity for premium golf association programmes between Ireland and the United States. The role focuses on maximizing media exposure while maintaining professional synergy across international stakeholders in the global golf industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading media relations strategy for the Irish golf industry by liaising and co‑messaging with US industry associations and product leaders.
Managing high‑value international partnerships and commercial agreements with resorts, golf clubs, tourism boards and overseas stakeholders.
Creating and positioning premium golf experiences, knowledge and products for the U.S. market based on local knowledge.
Directing digital brand and international media relations strategy, including market analytics, audience growth and campaign performance.
Representing the company by attending, speaking or presenting at US international symposiums and industry forums.
Supporting corporate partnership activations with US golf associations, including collaboration with the SCGA Ladies Golf Association.
Providing market intelligence, competitive analysis and revenue growth strategies for senior leadership in the company in conjunction with US calculations.
Job Requirements
Third‑level degree or higher in Business and Media studies.
In‑depth knowledge of the US golf market is essential.
Must have industry knowledge of the business model and corporate structuring of US golf associations and entities.
Must have understanding and experience working on the political, environmental and societal impacts of golf on surrounding communities and stakeholders.
Must be a skilled golfer with a single‑digit handicap.
Active membership in multiple US Golf Associations is required, including:
Southern California Golf Association (SCGA)
Membership of a U.S. Golf Club
New England Club Managers Association
Connecticut Club Managers Association
New England Golf Association
