We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join our team.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
* Provide guidance and support to ensure effective implementation of health and safety protocols.
* Collaborate with managers and trainers to ensure key safety roles are filled by competent personnel.
* Develop and maintain risk assessment processes and systems for production, approval, communication, implementation, and monitoring.
* Monitor the effectiveness of procedures for managing lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits, and other bespoke procedures.
* Participate in setting up and maintaining safety committees.
* Identify and mitigate risks to third parties and other contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of health and safety matters relevant to the construction industry.
* Liaising with safety professionals, organizations, and trade associations.
* Investigating accidents and incidents to identify causes, actions to prevent recurrence, and defense strategies.
* Preparing reports on health and safety performance for relevant managers.
* Communicating effectively with people at all levels within the construction industry community.
