Store Manager - Convenience Retail North Main Street, Cork Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 (DOE) We are currently recruiting an experienced Store Manager to lead a busy convenience retail store located on North Main Street, Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated retail professional to take ownership of a well-performing, modern store with strong support and clear structures in place. The Role: As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring high standards across customer service, team leadership, sales performance, and compliance. 42-hour contract per week Working hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm Working 5 days over 7, with 2 weekends off per month Managing and developing a team of 12 staff Overseeing a store with a weekly turnover of approx. €52k and strong margins Reporting directly to the business owner Driving standards in customer service, merchandising, food safety, and store presentation Managing stock control, margins, waste, and labour costs Ensuring full compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and company procedures The Store: Newly opened in 2024 Modern layout and systems Strong and consistent sales performance Well-established customer base The Ideal Candidate: Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in convenience retail or grocery Strong people management and leadership skills Commercially focused with experience managing KPIs and margins Excellent organisational and communication skills Hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused approach Strong knowledge of HACCP and retail compliance standards Salary & Benefits: €45,000 - €50,000 per annum (depending on experience) Stable working hours with regular weekends off Opportunity to manage a high-performing, modern store Direct support from the business owner
