Senior Payroll Specialist Job Description
The role of Senior Payroll Specialist is to provide expert support to our payroll team in ensuring compliance, accuracy and timeliness of payroll processes. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for multiple customers, co-ordinating workload distribution and providing support to team members to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with our Service Delivery Director to ensure that payroll processes are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency and automation in payroll processes, as well as supporting the implementation of new systems, tools and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple customers
* Co-ordinate and manage workload distribution
* Provide support to team members to meet deadlines and service level agreements
* Act as an escalation point in the absence of the Service Delivery Director
* Train and mentor team members
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a busy payroll processing environment (minimum 5 years)
* Strong knowledge of ROI payroll legislation and tax compliance
* Experience working with blended teams and managing workloads and workflow
* Proficiency in excel, ticketing systems and payroll software (Europay and Resourcelink desired)
* Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
