Role: NPI Engineer I
Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation of ISO56000, Innovation Management Standard.
* Execute projects within the Freudenberg Medical Group.
* Design and develop new products through customer design processes.
* Create prototypes and conduct initial engineering tests.
* Perform design verification and validation, including test protocols and reports.
* Conduct risk assessments and manage risks per ISO13485 standards.
* Identify new technology requirements to enhance product and process robustness.
* Develop test methods and processes using statistical tools (R&R, DOE, Equivalence Tests).
* Document processes in standard work instructions.
* Verify and validate processes for product commercialization.
Qualifications:
* Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
* Ability to work cross-functionally within the group.
* High-performance behavior and fostering engagement within the NPI team.
* Project management experience with NPI and PD projects (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
* Six Sigma knowledge for problem-solving and process improvement.
* Proven experience in product and process validation.
* NFQ Level 8 or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Bio-Medical Engineering.
* Project Management and/or Six Sigma qualification (highly desirable).
* Experience in grinding, moulding, EDM, or laser processes (advantage).
