We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activity within our food manufacturing facility.
This role is a key link between production line activities, order administration and Factory Manager.
The Supervisor will lead a team of 15+ people and have responsibility for delivering key performance metrics: production efficiency, compliance with food safety standards, consistent product quality and the teams health & safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate production activities across multiple lines or departments.
* Lead, coach, and support production teams to meet production targets and KPIs.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards.
* Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet daily targets.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and support training and development plans.
* Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
* Liaise with Factory Manager, Order Administration and Quality Assurance to ensure smooth operations.
* Participate in audits, internal inspections, and regulatory reviews.
* Drive process improvements in productivity, waste reduction, and team performance.
* Report daily and weekly production metrics to management, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong knowledge of QA/Food Safety and health & safety standards.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance.
* Experience in production planning systems and manufacturing KPIs.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
* Qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
* Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
