Hi I'm Theo, founder of — Ireland's leading luxury Christmas tree delivery, installation, and removal service. We're the highest‑reviewed service in the country, with 500+ reviews and a 5‑star rating on Google. We offer a high‑end, detail‑driven experience to homes and businesses across Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, and surrounding areas.
I run the business from my home, which is also our headquarters and depot. I'm looking for a friendly, capable person to support me day‑to‑day through our busy season while I focus on expanding into new opportunities. You'll be working right here with me — it's personal, hands‑on, flexible, and not at all corporate. Some tasks (especially inbox work) can be repetitive, and that's okay: fast, caring customer service is our top priority. My priority is to hire an individual that will be in a position to return each season to work with me, this is vital.

CONTRACT, PAY & SCHEDULE
Contract: Seasonal (contract role), Nov 1 – Dec 20
Pay: €22 per hour
Hours and pattern:
Nov 1 – Nov 14: 5 days per week, approximately 3–5 hours per day
Nov 15 – Dec 20: 5 days per week, approximately 5–8 hours per day
Hours can flex based on workload and personal needs — especially if you have school runs or need to get children home in the afternoons/evenings. We'll plan together week by week.
Location: On-site at my home/stable-yard HQ and depot (office, packaging room, and small workshop)
Workspace setup: We do have a small dedicated office space, but we often find it's nicer to work in the house — it's warmer, brighter, and better for collaboration. Please be comfortable working in the open‑plan office/kitchen as our main workspace.
Hybrid flexibility (not guaranteed): After onboarding, we're open to considering a partial work‑from‑home arrangement based on performance, reliability, and business needs. If agreed, this would typically mean starting on‑site and potentially handling some inbox/live‑chat work remotely later in the day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Customer support (primary)
Manage emails, live chat, and phone calls warmly and professionally
Service standard: respond within 1 hour during working hours — customer care is our highest priority
For context: last year we logged 100 hours of emails, 14 hours of live chat, and ~26 hours of phone calls
Respond thoughtfully to Google reviews in our brand voice
Postage and packaging
Pick, pack, label, and dispatch items accurately and on time
Help with stock checks, receiving deliveries, and keeping areas tidy
2. Marketing support
Draft and schedule simple social media posts (IG/FB/TikTok); reply to comments/DMs
Capture quick behind‑the‑scenes content; a good eye for framing and clear captions is key
Prepare simple blog posts from prompts/briefs; proof and publish with guidance
Invoicing for corporate clients
Create and send simple, accurate invoices (we'll show you our template and process)
Track invoice status and follow up politely when needed
3. Workshop help (as needed; training provided)
Assist with making wreaths and garlands
Help mark Christmas trees outdoors when required
4. Pitch‑in flexibility
This is a flexible, all‑hands role: at busy moments we all chip in where needed. You may occasionally be asked to help outside your typical responsibilities (including stepping outdoors, assisting drivers/teams, or covering a different station) to keep things moving safely and smoothly.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Office-based work:
3+ years' office/admin or customer support experience at a senior level
Exceptional written English: near‑perfect grammar and spelling, clear tone, and attention to detail
Very fast and accurate typing (e.g., 50–60+ wpm preferred)
Confident with email, phones, and live chat; comfortable in Gmail/Outlook and Google Sheets/Excel
Able to draft simple, professional invoices and maintain basic records
2. Social media:
No formal corporate experience required — we're looking for a strong personal sense of visuals and wording
Please share links to your own social profiles or examples that show a good eye for images and clear, friendly captions/messages
3. General:
Comfortable switching between office work and practical tasks (packaging/workshop)
Right to work in Ireland and ability to work on-site at my home/stable-yard HQ and depot
Reliable, organised, detail-focused; able to lift/move boxes safely
Essential: able and committed to return for future festive seasons — continuity matters to us
Advantageous: familiarity with Irish customers and place names (not required)
BONUS POINTS (NICE-TO-HAVE, NOT REQUIRED)
Floristry or craft experience (wreaths/garlands)
Basic Canva/video editing; blog/CMS familiarity (e.g., WordPress)
Retail, fulfilment, events, or seasonal operations experience
Full, clean driving licence
GROWTH, PERKS, AND POSSIBILITIES
Staff discounts on items we stock
Returning‑season continuity:
Responsibilities can expand in your second season and beyond
Returning team members receive a signing bonus in year 2, which increases each year for three years
Potential year‑round opportunity: We are growing into a year‑round business and planning a second venture, so this role has genuine potential to develop into broader, ongoing responsibilities for the right person
Friendly, flexible environment with direct access to the founder
FLEXIBILITY, BREAKS, HYBRID, AND HOME SETTING
This is my home as well as our depot — it's a relaxed, practical environment, not a corporate office
Pets are welcome in our fully enclosed yard (well‑behaved and supervised)
School runs are absolutely fine — if you need to step out to collect/drop off, we'll plan around it
Longer lunch breaks (up to around two hours) are okay when needed for school runs
Important: lunch breaks are unpaid; all other working time is paid at €22/hour under the seasonal contract
Potential hybrid arrangement may be considered after trust is established, subject to performance and business needs; if approved, we'll agree response windows (aiming for the 1‑hour standard), secure tools, and confidentiality practices
If you occasionally need to bring children back after school, that's okay provided they're well‑behaved, quiet, supervised, and not disruptive to work or safety
