On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join their mission-critical team at a leading-edge Data Centre in Dublin 22. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-power systems in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
The Role – What You’ll Do:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure the smooth and safe operation of mechanical systems critical to the facility's operation. You’ll be hands-on, proactive, and essential to ensuring uptime and equipment reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on heavy plant, power, and mechanical systems
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults efficiently
* Working from technical drawings and documentation
* Coordinating with internal teams and third-party service providers
* Updating logs, records, and safety documentation
* Supporting new equipment commissioning and maintenance planning
* Actively contributing to continuous improvement and safety initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
* We want mechanically biased professionals who are comfortable with responsibility and thrive in a technical setting.
* You’ll ideally have experience in:
* Commercial Gas Installations (preferably High-Pressure Systems)
* Heavy Plant and Generator Operations
* Industrial or Data Centre environments OR 2–4 years’ relevant Marine Engineering experience
Qualifications:
A trade qualification in mechanical/building services or an engineering degree/diploma with 2–3 years’ maintenance experience
Skills & Personal Attributes:
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Ability to read technical/mechanical drawings
* IT literate and comfortable with maintenance planning systems
* Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and dependable
* Able to work independently and within a close-knit team
* Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
