Job Description:
The role of Retail Horticulturist encompasses managing the daily operations of a garden center to create an exceptional store experience for the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving profitable sales and achieving consistent results
* Meeting KPI targets on a monthly and yearly basis
* Executing store-specific plans to drive business growth
* Contributing to team meetings to develop and implement strategic initiatives
* Organizing store promotions and executing setup
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
* Supporting the development of product categories and key lines
* Collaborating with store management on market research to ensure optimal product range for customer needs
* Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
* Maintaining accurate inventory and financial records to minimize stock loss
* Optimizing sales floor processes to reduce stock and margin loss
Requirements include previous relevant retail sales experience, extensive plant knowledge, understanding of sustainability and trends, excellent English communication skills, strong customer service focus, ability to work independently, computer skills, superior product knowledge, commercial awareness, positive attitude, and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
