Corporate Governance Manager (Permanent - AP) Reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs, Governance and Programme Delivery, the Corporate Governance Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the PSI operates to the highest standards of corporate governance, accountability, and transparency.
The role is responsible for supporting the effective functioning of the PSI Council and its Committees, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and contributing to the development and implementation of governance frameworks and policies that underpin the PSIs regulatory responsibilities.
Candidates must have, on the closing date for receipt of applications: A National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 8 degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as law, corporate governance, business/public administration, risk management, and/or a professional qualification.
A minimum of 10 years of work experience, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a governance, compliance, regulatory, or public sector role.
A minimum of 5 years demonstrable leadership experience, at an appropriately senior level.
Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance frameworks, particularly those applicable to public bodies in Ireland.
Experience supporting or managing board or committee structures.
Strong understanding of data protection, freedom of information legislation and information governance principles.
Experience managing risk registers, compliance frameworks, and internal control processes.
In addition, the following are considered desirable: A postgraduate qualification in governance, compliance, risk management, or a related field (minimum level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent).
Proven business acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving ability, coupled with a track record of accountability for driving results within diverse professional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external bodies.
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, including performance management and team development.
High level of organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Proficiency in the Irish language.
