About the Role: Our client, is seeking an experienced School Secretary / Clerical Officer to join their team on a temporary basis in Laois. Candidates should be available for an immediate start. Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the schools administrative operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the Principal and school staff. Manage correspondence including drafting and preparing letters and documents. Process orders, invoices, and creditor payments. Maintain accurate filing systems and school records. Handle telephone and reception duties, welcoming visitors and responding to queries. Arrange and coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events. Assist in preparing reports and statutory returns as required. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school and data protection policies. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a school or office administration environment. Strong organisational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems. Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.
