We are now recruiting for the position of part-qualified accountant based at our Head Office in Galway.
Job Description
The ideal candidate is ACCA/ACA/CPA part-qualified with at least two years' experience in Practice, with a strong technical ability and attention to detail.
Reporting to the CFO, the part qualified accountant will have responsibility for areas of the finance function, including financial transactions, compliance with regulations and preparing reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the accounts receivable function, ensuring accuracy of payment applications and certificates and subsequent issuing invoices to clients
* Regular review of the outstanding debtors and liaise with clients in relation to payment
* Review and update of retention receivable on an ongoing basis
* Responsibility for the subcontractor payment process, including cost allocation and commercial reporting
* Assist in the preparation of statutory reporting requirements including VAT returns, RCT returns, CSO returns, payroll filings and other ad hoc duties as required.
* Process monthly and bi-weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment
* Preparation of various reports to the CFO and senior management, and adhering to deadlines.
* Assist the CFO in preparing annual budgets to ensure alignment with operational objectives
* Other ad hoc duties as required
Who should apply?
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Business / Finance
* Part qualified or recently qualified accountant
* 2+ years of experience working in Practice
* Strong knowledge of three-way matching and processing payment runs
* Knowledge of Iplicit cloud accounting software (preferred but not essential)
* Advanced Excel skills essential
* Experience in team leadership and communication
* Strong numerical, analytical and attention to detail skills
