About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to fill the position of Deputy Home Manager. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of childcare legislation, and the ability to maintain a safe and caring environment for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the home manager in ensuring compliance with relevant childcare legislation, National Standards for Children's Residential Centres, and best practice.
* Supervise and manage staff to ensure 24-hour cover and consistent care.
* Contribute to the assessment, planning, and implementation of individual care plans.
* Facilitate effective communication and decision-making between young people, their families, and the support team.
* Promote high standards of emotional and physical care and safety for all young people in the home.
* Represent the home in a positive manner and advocate for young people and their families when necessary.
* Evaluate and ensure the integration of therapeutic care within the home's practices.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in children's residential care and a level 7 qualification in a relevant field are essential.
