Sky Staffing Solutions, on behalf of our prestigious hospitality client in Kilkenny, is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join a dynamic and professional kitchen brigade. As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality dishes. You'll work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, contributing to menu development, food prep, and maintaining food safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of a specific kitchen section and ensure it runs smoothly during service Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard Ensure full compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and safety guidelines Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning and specials Supervise and train junior staff and kitchen assistants Maintain accurate food stock levels and contribute to cost control Support the wider team in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and equipment care Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up Formal culinary training or relevant NVQ/QQI Level 56 certificate (preferred) Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen protocols (HACCP certified) Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment Strong time management, communication, and organisational skills A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
