The Role
Recent senior level hiring has positioned the firm to expand into the construction market, offering a compelling opportunity to join a growing team as it strengthens its presence in the sector. You will work alongside a well-connected partner with an established reputation in this space.
You will advise on a broad range of non-contentious development and infrastructure matters, taking ownership of files, driving key workstreams, and building strong client relationships.
You will be involved in:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating development agreements.
Advising on and preparing construction contracts, including RIAI, FIDIC, NEC, JCT and bespoke agreements.
Drafting design team appointments, collateral warranties, and sub-contracts.
Advising clients on procurement structures, risk allocation, and contract strategy.
Working closely with developers, contractors, consultants, funders, and insurers.
Supporting the disputes team on adjudications and contentious matters where required.
Managing client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice.
The Person
You will be a strong fit if you bring:
4 + PQE in construction.
Experience drafting and advising on construction and development documentation.
Strong technical drafting skills and attention to detail.
Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical advice.
Confidence managing files and working directly with clients.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
A proactive, self-starting approach.
